Help & Love for Daniel

On May 5th my Fiancé Daniel was walking our dog Verdon and this happened:
“Last Friday night, while I was out walking Verdon, someone startled me by yelling “hey faggot!” Naturally, because of the volume of the voice & nature of the slur, I jumped & turned around, only to be met with a knife lodged into my abdomen.
The suspect took off immediately as I fell to the ground holding my stomach. As the pain & shock settled in, I made my way to the apartment door where my beloved @bigadonohue was able to act rapidly & call for help all while calming me & Verdon down. I was rushed into emergency surgery where they had to open me up to observe the damage.
The stab wound had lacerated my liver. The surgical team was able to address the wound & provided me with care I needed in hospital. A lot of emotions are running through me: sadness, anxiety, worry, anger but I am resilient and strong.
My road to recovery is projected be a long one but I’m grateful for my life knowing that this could have needed so much worse. I’m also grateful for my partner who has lifted me up in love & support; physically, emotionally. I’m also grateful to have taken my first shower on my own today too. Taking it all day by day & appreciating all the gifts that are in my life.

I ask my friends and family for support, I have only done this one time before, and it was amazing the support I received. That didn't end the way I wanted. This I have a feeling will.
