As some of you know, I had a bad car accident in 2021, and it took two years of physical therapy and hard work to get back to working and hoping to have a new start. I moved back to GA last August and I've had a hard time since both physically and financially.

On Jan 3, 2025, I was diagnosed with Diabetic Retinopathy in both eyes and was losing sight in my left eye. On March 3rd, as I was lifting laundry, I could not move from my back down my right side. I went to the ER; x-rays and a CT showed a possible disc with a sciatica problem and referred me to Orthopedic.

After the doctor's appointment, surgery was scheduled for April 8th; however, my left eye continued to get worse after shots in the eye, so eye surgery was scheduled for March 28th. That meant my back surgery needed to be postponed until April 8th.

So, I had eye surgery and back surgery. With both medical issues, I was out of work for over three weeks.

I do not have a large family, and they all work and have struggles of their own. There is no help! I have a friend who was able to come care for me, cook, clean, and drive, but has been unable to find a job in order to work and be able to help me with my needs.

Then on Easter, April 20th, my phone was stolen at a restaurant in Atlanta, and they hacked everything from Cash App, Venmo, and bank info. I changed accounts, and that messed up disability payments because they also tried to steal SS info. I have been to the SS office and will be able to receive disability again in July.

So, without work and help, I am behind on everything. I just received a 3-day eviction notice, and they want $1398 now. My rent, renter's insurance, and water bill together are normally $1098; however, they have added a late fee, and on the 8th, they will include eviction fees.

I've had Type 1 insulin-dependent diabetes for 50 years this month! This disease, plus problems from the car accident, is taking a toll on my health. I now have Diabetic Retinopathy, Stage 3 Kidney Disease, Degenerative Arthritis, more bulging discs, etc.

I believe with much prayer and belief that I can overcome some of these problems or at least work through them.
