My name is Lindsay. I am 33 and I just graduated from law school. I want to help people gain access to justice. Unfortunately, I hurt my back very badly before I could get a job or insurance. Now I am completely disabled, unable to walk or sit and trying to get medical treatment with no money.

I have a hard time asking for help. The thought of asking friends and strangers for money for myself is foreign. Though I have raised money for many, many charities over my life time, most recently to send my sweet nieces to summer camp, I have never been one to accept handouts. I am, however, in a really hard spot right now.

A few wonderful friends have asked me to start a gofundme account so that they can help me raise money to get an MRI and for other treatment modalities. I resisted at first but after 6 months of being in pain and 3 months of being barely able to get to the bathroom or stand at all, I realize that I really need help.
