In August 2024, Leslee was rushed to the ER at FF Thompson in Canandaigua, suffering from severe pain and major abdominal swelling—her abdomen had grown to the size of a full-term pregnancy. After extensive tests, doctors gave a devastating diagnosis:
Stage 3 Liver Disease with Ascites.
Since that day, she has been in and out of the hospital. There have been countless complications—I thought I was going to lose her more than once. But Leslee is a fighter. She was placed on the transplant list, but the wait is long.
While she fights for her life, she has tried to keep working. But her health simply won’t allow it anymore. She was approved for disability, but it only provides approximately $53 per week—nowhere near enough to cover rent, medical bills, copays for her medications, or even gas money for her weekly medical appointments. She urgently needs help.
The only thing that can save Leslee’s life is a liver transplant, and while she waits like so many others, she is searching for a living donor with O-negative blood who can help save her life.
A small donation could help her stay alive long enough to get that chance.
If you can donate, share, or help in any way, it would mean everything. If you or someone you know is O-negative and willing to consider being a living donor, please reach out.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
