Support Laure In Her Final Journey

Laure has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Cancer, which has since metastasized and become terminal. After a long and hard road, she has now entered the final stages of life. With palliative care, she is focusing on comfort, peace, and presence with the people she loves most.

We want to support her through this GoFundMe so there is money for bills, doctors, hospice care, spending time with her son Jack and grand-dog Comso, and crossing off some bucket list items while she still has the strength and the time. All without the unduly pressures that running a catering business by herself has brought over the years.

Laure has loved cooking ever since she was young, first blossoming when she got a Little Suzy Homemaker Oven as a child. Roughly 25 years ago, she started Yum! Catering and has grown it into the go-to production caterer that you know today. It has been an honor of a lifetime for her to have fed so many wonderful people, and to have worked on so many amazing productions, and with such awesome talent. She is so grateful for the people she's been able to meet in this business over the years.

My mom did not just start a business; she raised me at the same time. I have seen how hard she has worked to create a business loved by so many, while always making sure I was taken care of and that I had everything I needed at the same time. I can’t think of anyone more kind, compassionate, generous, or empathetic than my mom. Nobody holds a candle to her. We’ve spent the last 27 years taking care of one another, and now we’re asking for support from our friends and community.
