Help Me Get A Custom Wheelchair (Dysautonomia)

Over the past year I have spent 4 months 17 days in hospital, spread over three admissions.

Dysautonomia is the main cause for my admissions. My autonomic nervous system does not work correctly. My nerves do not work in the way they should. So, how does this impact on my life?...

+Gastrointestinal dysmotility (food gets stuck in my throat [oesophageal dysmotility], my stomach does not empty correctly [gastroparesis] and my bowels do not work effectively [intestinal dysmotility]. I was tube fed for 6 months earlier this year due to dramatic weight loss)
+Postural tachycardia syndrome (heart rate dramatically increases when standing - up to 200bpm)
+Syncope (I pass out when standing).

I have had numerous scans and tests after passing out to check for serious injuries. It has been decided it is safer not to stand and walk. I was discharged from hospital with a wheelchair. Unfortunately it is not suitable for me as it is extremely difficult to self-propel and slips on pavements. I am unable to go out alone due to safety concerns with my current chair. 

Having done some research, I am hoping to purchase an active/sporty wheelchair for everyday use as these are easier to manoeuvre. I also plan on adding SmartDrive/TriRide so I can still get out independently on days where I don’t have enough energy to self-propel. Unfortunately these chairs are not cheap so I am hoping to try crowdfunding to help.

I am determined to keep smiling and living my life to the max despite the issues I have/am facing. A more appropriate wheelchair will help facilitate this.
