My name is Lashea, and I’m reaching out for support during one of the hardest times of my life. Everything changed last August when I had a stroke. Since then, my health has been getting worse, and I haven’t been able to work full-time like I used to. I’ve been dealing with lupus, kidney disease, osteoarthritis, swelling,
on and off chemotherapy and constant pain. On top of that, I’ve been going in and out of the hospital because my body keeps reacting to everything I’m dealing with. They had to remove 2 liters of fluid from my lungs recently. Some days it’s even hard to walk or breathe without feeling pressure and tightness. I try to push through for my son, but the truth is it has been overwhelming. My income has dropped, and I’m struggling to keep up with bills, everyday needs, and making sure my child is taken care of. I’m doing everything I can to keep us from becoming homeless, but I can’t do it alone anymore. I’m asking for help so I can focus on healing while keeping a roof over our heads. Any support, no matter the amount, makes a real difference and brings us one step closer to stability. Thank you for reading my story and for any kindness you are able to give.
