Help Katie & Her Kitties Escape Eviction....

Aloha all you wonderful humans. I've made this fundraiser in the hope of providing a better quality of life for a dear friend of mine Katie. Katelyn Hanks is in need of some immediate financial support for multiple necessities, most importantly overdue rent at her residence as she faces an eviction in less than a week for lack of finances.

Ms. Katie is not the kind to ask for money from strangers as she's the most independent and humble Southern Belle.

Katie is limited in nearly all physical cabilities due to her cerebral palsy that stems from several strokes she had while still in the womb. She does not have the luxury of spoken communication, but don't let that fool you as she's a quick whit response on her iPad speech application. When I first met Katie in high-school she was only afforded a simple stack of plastic flash cards for generic responses.

Katie's mobility is limited to a self operated electric wheelchair which allows her to travel on the Dallas DART transportation system for her medical procedures and Dr appointments.

Katie has a most unique skill set for carrying on a humorous exchange of jokes and well rounded comebacks. I'd say that was a gift she was born with, but she claims to have invented the "SASS"

My dearest Katie is no soft slush, she's hell on wheels and smarter than the top 1% of any crowded room. Her accolades include a Bachelors degree in management information systems from the University of Texas at Dallas which make a her a great candidate for many job opportunities, but unfortunately none of those opportunities have come her way just yet.

So I ask, with her permission and on her behalf, that anyone kind enough to share a blessing, please do so. Whether it be a monetary donation, a positive message of affirmation, a random Amazon gift, a simple social media share of this fundraiser or even a quick prayer of protection over the head of this young lady.

Our goal is not an abundance of wealth, but a quick lift to keep my friend from losing her apartment. Anything above the goal set will help to finance a much desired service dog for Katie and food from Sonic, as that is our favorite meal when I'm back in town visiting.
