Help My Family Start a New Life and Survive the Genocide

Donation protected
UPDATE: August.29, 2025
Donating continues to make a huge impact in the face of the ongoing genocide. We are incredibly grateful to all who have joined us, and helped through donating or sharing this campaign. Thank you! Thank you! Using our collective voices and resources is a way of standing in solidarity with our Palestinian kin.

The threat of displacement is a pervasive threat right now. Kamal has shared that the where, when and how to move is difficult to comprehend. Renting land, setting up a tent, and transportation to the South would cost around 3000.00. This adds so much stress, and burden. Kamal, and his family are going to stay where they are for as long as they possibly can. Food access, and costs remain unstable. Of course, there is always the threat of brutal violence.

We need as much assistance as we can get. Every dollar is literally helping to save lives.
Again, we thank you for reading, and doing whatever you can.
Celeste, Wafae, Kamal and family

Hello to every soul full of humanity,

| am Kamal Raed from Gaza. I would like to thank everyone for their donations.

You should know that your donations save us.

We live without power, without peace, without food and water.

These were once basic needs we had.
Now, they are luxurious.

I continue every mission here as if it were a
championship or a final match.

The difference is that I am now playing for my life and the lives of my family.

I remember joy, I struggle to feel it again.

Before the war, I would go to the office for work as a programmer, watch Futbol matches with my friends., and enjoy a hot cup of coffee at my local cafe.

One of my favorite things to do was going on late-night car rides with my friend.

Now, I long for those days, which with each passing moment becomes a distant memory.

The war has stolen everything from us.
Our loved ones, friends, neighbors.

My home, our family home, our work, our schools, and even sleep.

My father worked tirelessly his whole life to build our family home.

In an instant, it was reduced to rubble.
Our home, all our possessions, and precious
memories. Gone.

I am proud of what my father has done for me throughout my life.

He taught me and made me who I am today.

I was supposed to repay him with a better life now that I am older, although the war had other plans.

(A photo of our neighborhood where our home was)

We are living the worst days of our lives.
Quiet nights we once knew are now filled with the never-ending buzzing of drones.
Bombings have become our alarm clock.
Grief accompanies every breath we take.
Death surrounds us from every side.

I constantly think,
"Will we live to see the night?"
"Will we eat today?"

"Will we be displaced again tonight?"

| fear the world has gone numb.

How much more will we endure before you help us?

Despite all we face, I dream of once again being a programmer.

I hope to one day go to work without looking at rubble.
To drive my mom to the grocery store. Go to a cafe with my father.

Walk my little sisters to school with the sound of birds chirping in the air. Not bombs.

Don't we deserve a normal life too?

I hope that my family and I will escape death in Gaza.
My family includes my father, mother, and sisters.
For our safety and well-being. We know staying in Gaza is not an option.

The donations raised will cover expenses related to
crossing to Egypt through the Rafah Border.

Once it's open. Which we estimate will be $5,000 for
each family member.

While the border is closed,
donations will be directly used to support my family.
As we continue to survive in Gaza, on our journey to rebuild the future that war tried to erase.

Our hope hasn't died. Not yet.
We are hurting, but we still dream.
We are a land full of dreamers!

The basic monthly needs for my family, along with two other families displaced in my rented apartment, who have no income. As I am their sole provider:
Food, water, medicine, rented apartment, and electricity.

Details of my family I support:

- My family consists of my mother, my father, and
seven siblings.

- My uncle's family: My uncle, his wife, and five
children.

- My uncle's family: My uncle, his wife.

We all live together, approximately 19 people.
I cover their basic personal needs and food expenses
in cash.

Total daily expenses (including a commission of 48% to
date):

At least 900 shekels, due to the high cost of
everything, which amounts to about $265 per day.

Aid never reaches us; I'm forced to buy everything
from the markets.
At a very high price.

If you can donate, please know that every donation goes directly to our survival.

No matter how small or large the amount is.
It means the world to my family and me.

If you can't donate, sharing our story and voice with the world is truly an incredible act of kindness!

Thank you so much for your compassion.
Your support gives us strength, hope, and faith in
humanity.

From the bottom of our hearts thank you for standing
by us.

Sincerely, Kamal Raed

UPDATE: July.21, 2025. Firstly, the Raed family, Wafae and I thank you for all of your donations and help. Each of you are so appreciated!

Conditions continue to be unbearable. The physical and psychological violence being perpetuated upon the people of Gaza is unrelenting, the biggest threat being the famine. Gaza is being starved. It is at the point where people are dying of hunger in the streets. Any food that can be found is at a ridiculously high price. Going to the 'Aid' stations means risking being shot! The extreme inhumanity of this situation is beyond comprehension!

Please continue to share, and donate if you can. Keep speaking up for Palestine as we continue to hope for an end to the genocide. Thank you!

UPDATE: July.1,2025. Hello! We hope this update finds you well. As always, we are extremely grateful to all who have donated to this campaign. Thank you! Thank you! Every dollar helps the Raed family as they continue to try and survive this genocide. The siege continues, the chaos and violence is unrelenting. They are physically and mentally exhausted. Everyday is an unending struggle, and incredibly dangerous. Your donations help with the purchase of wildly expensive and limited food and supplies. Your help also lets them know that you stand in solidarity with them. Assalam Alaikum
Hi, my name is Celeste. I live in Alberta, Canada. I am fundraising to help Kamal Rael and his large family survive the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Like most families in Gaza, Kamal's is struggling. Living in tents, lack of food and water, lack of resources. It is heartbreaking, and maddening that the beautiful people of Palestine are being made to suffer constant, ongoing injustices. Please take the time to read Kamal's story. You can help with either a donation, or sharing this campaign.
Thank you!
UPDATE: APRIL.28, 2025
From: Wafae Said
Assalamu Alaikum/Peace be upon you,
Firstly, May Allah Bless you and your families for your kindness and for donating to the Raed Family! Today marks 574 days since the start of the war and genocide for the Raed family & all of our beloved brothers, sisters, & children in Gaza! The level of brutality that the people of Gaza have endured within these 20 months is absolutely sickening, heart-breaking and has been and continues to be televised for us and the whole world to see these atrocities. This is something that no human being should ever have to experience! For Kamal and his family they couldn't have thought that after 18 months of bombing, mass murders, starvation, mass displacement, mass kidnappings of civilians and so many more horrific war crimes that the genocide could somehow get worse but that is exactly the case that Kamal and his family are living in since March 2nd, the genocidal israel occupation has closed off the crossings and stopped allowing any and all form of aid into Gaza not a single water bottle, piece of food, medicine, medical equipment or tent has entered Gaza in 2 MONTHS and the cost of FLOUR if someone can find it is $300 and now according to the U.N GAZA has officially ran out of food causeing a Level 5 Famine‼️‼️‼️ On March 18th the occupation viciously ended the ceasefire agreement by bombing every single part of the Gaza Strip in the early hours of the night during the holy month of Ramadan. Since March 18th, Kamal and his family face and experience daily bombings that are nonstop they happen every night and every day and the numbers of MARTYRS (May Allah Have Mercy On Them ) are increasing every single moment with the targeting of schools, displacement camps, hospitals, food distribution centers, and massacres are happening every moment and truly now anything that moves in Gaza is a target! Just within the last 2 weeks of April the Raed family had some of their relatives MARTYRED (May Allah Have Mercy on them)! That is why now more than ever the Raed Family desperately needs your help to survive these devastating and unimaginable days while they fight everyday only by the Will of God and through your life-changing donations to survive the Bombings, Massacres, Famine, Corrupt Traders, and Disease‼️‼️
Please please please any amount you can donate it doesn’t matter how big or small it can save their lives! One share can save their lives so please help the Raed family today any way you can because they need us!
