Help Joseph stop plastic from going to landfill
Donation protected
Hi my name is Kaylea and I am fundraising for my son's project, Joseph Recycling.
Joseph, aged 12, is on a mission to make a significant impact on waste management in Bali, and he needs your help.
Over the last two years, Joseph has stopped tonnes of waste going to landfill by collecting recycling from 200 homes and businesses, and sorting it properly. With the profits from his project, he has paid for 24 local children to go to school. His goal for 2024 is to pay the school fees of 50 children to go to school.
Joseph is currently storing 150kg of unidentified plastic waste because no recycling facility will take it without proper identification.
Joseph also makes keyrings to raise funds for his project, but without proper identification, melting this plastic waste could release harmful substances.
If this waste ends up in a landfill, it could have severe environmental consequences.
How You Can Help: Your generous contributions will go directly towards purchasing a state-of-the-art scanning device that can accurately identify different types of plastics. This will enable Joseph to safely process and recycle the waste he is currently storing.
Every donation, big or small, brings Joseph one step closer to a more sustainable future. Join Joseph in making a difference in Bali.
