After caring for my beloved mom for more than 27 years, during a routine checkup in January, we discovered that she had lung cancer. This was shocking because my mom quit smoking cigarettes 30 years prior. She died 2 months later. While grieving for my mom, I found out 6 months later that I had breast cancer. I have struggled through 6 months of chemotherapy, bilateral mastectomy, 3 months of radiation, physical therapy, bone infusions, and I still have a long road ahead of me. I have always been fiercely independent, not having to ask anyone for anything; but I am in a different place right now.

 I have been going through a very difficult time in my breast cancer fight. Needless to say, it has been an expensive journey. Everything that could happen to a person, has happened to me. Due to extensive chemo and radiation, all of my teeth are decayed. The treatment that I'm going through for cancer is what is causing dental problems.

Several dentists have told me that due to my continuing treatment and bone structure, dentures are not an option for me. My only option are implants. The first part of the dental surgery is 8 hours long. This is in addition to further scheduled cancer surgery. I am asking for any donation that will help me with my dental procedure.
