Help Huxley Fight His Brain Tumor

Donation protected
Huxley is a 3-year-old boy who was diagnosed in September 2015 with a DIPG brain tumor in his brain stem and medulla. This type of brain cancer is inoperable, and can't be cured by chemotherapy or radiation.

He is currently in the PICU at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He is on a ventilator, since the tumor impairs his ability to maintain his airway (swallowing, clearing your throat, making sure things don't go "down the wrong tube" into your lungs). After his most recent admission back to the hospital in October, he had a stroke and has been slowly but surely regaining movement throughout his body.

Huxley is a silly, brilliant boy. Before this began to affect him, he loved to zip through 36-piece puzzles, hit line drives without looking, kick soccer goals with Daddy, read bedtime books with his sister Chloe, help Mommy make coffee every morning, and laugh at his little brother, Watson. He knows every kind of construction truck by heart, can count to 100, and loves to watch "So You Think You Can Dance" and "American Ninja Warrior". He has a truly unique mind for a 2-year old.

He is being treated by several alternative and integrative health doctors that the family was fortunate enough to connect with, and he is receiving a myriad of different natural and holistic treatments. None of these things are covered by traditional insurance. His mom and dad try to work as much as possible while also spending every free minute either with him or with his siblings at home; this means they're rarely at the same place at the same time. This also means Huxley misses Chloe and Watson dearly - our goal is to get him healthy enough to be off the ventilator and back home breathing freely with his family.

Huxley's recovery will be a miracle, and we thank you in advance for helping make it possible.
