Greg's Victory Lap
Donation protected
My buddy Greg Hellmuth was diagnosed with terminal inoperable cancer on November 21, 2024. He has tumors on his liver, and the cancer has spread to lymph nodes and bile ducts.
Before you read on, know that anything you donate will go directly to Greg's wife and daughter - this fundraiser is strictly for them.
And today's update is that Greg is now on hospice care. APRIL 6TH, 2025

Greg would never ask for anything for himself, but with his permission, I am starting this GoFundMe for him.
Greg just turned 57 and has a loving wife named Jessica. Jessica is on permanent disability and up until this week Greg was the only one bringing in the household money.

Greg has an 18-year-old daughter a 37-year-old daughter, and two boys.

Greg just lost his father to cancer a few years ago. Here's Greg and his Dad showing off their Studebakers.

Greg knows too well what is happening and how tough things are going to get, but he is trying to maintain a positive attitude. One example? His birthday is tomorrow, November 23rd, and he said, "Well, at least I get to be another year older."
Right now, Greg wants to enjoy some simple things while he still can. We're playing disc golf Sunday and hoping to have the old "crew" turn out to support Greg and soak up as much of him as we can right now. We want to lift his spirits and help him enjoy every moment he can, but there is more that we need for Greg.

Money is a huge issue. Jessica is permanently disabled, and only has SS disability, as you know that is not a livable wage. Greg has worked most of his life, but he just moved from Vermont to Florida and put every penny into his new home.
This is the day they moved from Vermont to Florida.

When they were dating

Bills, Car Payments, Utilities, Groceries are all needed.
So, I am making a plea for him to have a little cash to spend on treatment, food, and living expenses while he is in treatment.

Greg and daughter. These two are inseparable.

He is a Minnesota Vikings fan to the bone, and he used to love to race dirt-track, lawnmowers, and anything else he could drive. I competed against him, and I can tell you he is a tough competitor.

If you have the means, a little help will make the time Greg has left so much more meaningful to him and all of us around him. A small donation of $5-20 bucks you won't miss and a share to your friends can make us reach our goal. Please hit that donate button and drop a litle spare change.

There is so much more to Greg Hellmuth than his cancer. One of the nicest guys I have ever known. Our friendship was so unlikely, but we have had a brotherly connection for about 20 years now.

I was there when he met his wife, and I was there when he celebrated the birth of his now 18-year-old daughter.

She loves her Daddy so much and is trying to be brave, but she saw what happened with Grandpa and really needs what time Greg has to be with her to be as stress-free and as memorable as possible.

Soon she will only have memories, and hopefully some professional portraits and some video recordings to cherish.

Help them be joyous as much as possible.

Some would take this for granted, but the current situation puts these simple comforts out of reach. The $25,000 goal seems like a big ask but it really isn't much when you consider the next 6-12 months of utilities, car payment and insurance, treatment, medicine, food, etc...it's basically 2k a month for a family of 3 to squeeze by...

Any small amount helps ~ God bless you for even considering helping a stranger out in their time of need.
