What remained of the family home..!
Hi, My name is Chris Hill and I am trying to help Ghadeer raise funds for the essentials to sustain her family and survive after the trauma of loosing two of her brothers who's children have now become her responsibility.
Her family has been displaced many times over the past two years and she has been separated from her husband due to the war and shares this burden along with her father, two remaining brothers and five children.
A few months ago I was contacted by one of Ghadeer's brothers, Wael who asked for help with fundraising. Wael also set up his own Facebook group Free Palestine to grow a community in support of and sharing news and insight to the genocide and injustice of the catastrophe that is Gaza today.
Sadly, Wael was martyred along with his elder brother. When you have had direct contact then it does become personal.
The funds raised will be used to sustain the family in the short term and to pay for life essentials and medication.
In the longer term, funds will used to rebuild the family home and provide a stable and secure future for the family.
Ghadeers Story
Hello, I am Ghadeer Al-Afash. I am from Palestine, specifically from Gaza.
I am organizing this campaign to help my family to survive. My husband is not with me in this war because he was working away in the West Bank when the war started. The borders have been closed and he is unable to return or carry out any work due to the restrictions placed upon him.
I am taking care of my children alone and also my father's family.
I am a 30 year old mother of two children, Deema who is 5 years old, Adam who is 3 years old. I am reaching out for help as my family and I have been deeply affected by the ongoing war in Gaza.
My daughter Deema suffers from hypersensitivity, which means that she is suffering during this period from the presence of insects and mosquitoes in the tent. when the insects bite her, her entire body gets red blisters, during this period we are suffering from a lack medications, treatment and the unavailability of therapeutic creams for her.
My struggling father, Ali Al-Afash, 56 years old, has two daughters and four sons, two of whom were martyred in a bombing that targeted them without any reason while they were searching for a living and sustenance. Two of them remain alive. In the light of these difficult circumstances, he adopts three families, all in one tent, and he is responsible for them and takes care of providing them with water and food when it is available in an attempt to stay alive.
My dear martyred brother Fayez, 33 years old, loved life very much and loved his three children. He graduated from university but did not work with his degree, but he did not despair at this. He worked in various fields, the last job he was working in, was filling household gas cylinders and providing services to people. He was bombed directly while he was working and was martyred immediately. He left behind 3 young children, the oldest of whom is Ali, who is 6 years old, Mahmoud, who is 5 years old, and Karim, who was born in the war and is 9 months old. They all need care now.
My dear martyred brother Wael, 28 years old and one year younger than me. He was like an angel, calm and very obedient to my parents. He graduated from university and dreamed of becoming a famous football coach because he loved football. He worked as a coach before the war, but our whole life stopped when the war began, he resorted to working with my brother Fayez in filling gas cylinders. They were martyred together and left behind great sadness in our hearts and in the hearts of my mother and father.
As for my beloved brothers, Ameer and Alaa, they lost their jobs and dreams because of the damned war that took everything away.
We are determined to survive and rebuild, but we need your help. Our goal is to raise enough money to eventually rebuild our home. Your support can make a huge difference for my family. No donation is too small; every small donation helps us provide the basic necessities we desperately need and brings us one step closer to safety and stability. Please consider contributing to our cause. Your generosity can help us overcome these difficult circumstances and give my children a chance at a better future.
Please consider contributing to our cause. Your generosity can help us overcome these dire circumstances and offer my children a chance at a better future.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
