Hi, my name is Jordan Doyle, and this is one of those moments where life asks you to swallow your pride a little and hope the internet is kinder than it usually is. My income is very limited, just enough to cover the basics, so saving for a car is nearly impossible. Most months, I’m left wondering if noodles count as a balanced diet. Saving for something big on that income is about as easy as assembling furniture without the instructions… technically possible, but mostly stressful and confusing.
Recently I made it out into the world on my own, and while independence is great, it also turns out adulthood is mostly just paying bills and trying not to panic. Now my vehicle needs to be replaced, which is one of those “grown-up problems” nobody warns you about when you’re younger. Because of my financial situation, I don’t feel comfortable taking on car payments or loans. I know myself well enough to know that another monthly bill would stress me out more than a “we need to talk” text at 2 a.m. My goal is to buy a used vehicle outright so when I get the keys, it’s fully mine — no payments, no strings attached, just a simple, healthy relationship between me and a car that hopefully starts when I turn the key.
So here I am, asking for a little help from the online community and anyone kind enough to read this. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount helps move me closer to getting a reliable vehicle and staying on my feet. And if donating isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser helps just as much. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me get back on the road. I promise the car and I will have a very respectful, drama-free relationship — something my dating life could probably learn from.
