Help Gaia and Fabio work and study

Hi, we are Gaia and Fabio and we are fundraising to keep our dream of settling down in the United States alive. Fabio and I moved to Boston from Italy in 2018 and had different experiences. I (Gaia) graduated in May 2020 with a Master of Science in Journalism. I was able to work for a year for both a major sports broadcaster and a filmmaker, but I had to stop working in May 2021 because my work authorization tight to my student visa expired. As an immigrant, I am only allowed to work in the country with a working visa. I talked to a lawyer to see my options at applying for a new visa, and while I am still in contact with both my former bosses and had several job offers in the past two months, I can't afford the lawyer expenses and therefore I am not able to work and continue paying our bills. On the other end, I (Fabio) enrolled in a Master of Science in Business Analytics and while I was able to attend one semester, I couldn't afford to pay my tuition this past September and therefore to complete my studies. As an international student, I can’t ask for any student loans. We were counting on family funds, but due to the pandemic and unpredictable events, we realized that these funds were no longer available. We are both struggling with bills and rent, and we risk being forced to go back to Italy if we don’t find a solution by next January. That would also mean having wasted three years of sacrifices, hard work, and efforts we put in this project, as well as and shut down any future opportunities here in the U.S. We tried with all our strengths to make it work and would love to get a chance to get back on our feet. We would use $10,000 to pay for the lawyer and visa expenses that would give me (Gaia) the opportunity to keep working in the United States. We would use $25,000 to pay my (Fabio’s) last semester tuition fee that would give me the chance to graduate and get a 3-year work authorization (instead of one year like in Gaia’s case) thanks to the STEM field of my program. We moved to Boston with a dream: start a new life in a country where everything seems possible. We still believe in the American Dream and we will work hard and tirelessly to honor the funds we will receive.
UPDATE:
Thanks to the help we received from the people who donated both here on Go Fund Me and outside of it, Gaia has reached her goal of $10K and is able to pay for the legal fees of her visa. Also, we are $16K away from covering Fabio's tuition fee of $25,000! That's why we reduced the goal from the original $35,000 to $16,000.
