FEBRUARY 28, 2014 UPDATE: Sadly, Ron Lang passed away last night, on February 27, 2014 after a long battle with his illness. He was surrounded by family and those who loved him, especially his wife Tiffeny and his son Connor. We continue to keep Ron's family in our thoughts and prayers as they deal with this tragic loss. Tiffeny passes along her sincere thanks and gratitude for everyone's thoughts, prayers and generosity through Ron's illness. It's a testament to Ron and Tiffeny to see how many people have come forward to help them through their struggle.

I met Ron and Tiffeny Lang shortly after I moved to California a few years ago. Instantly I felt like I'd known them for years - a feeling I'm sure many of you who know this great couple can understand.
As you may know, 2013 has been full of challenges for Ron and Tiffeny. One of those challenges was a happy one - in June they welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby boy they named Connor. Connor has undoubtedly helped Ron and Tiffeny through their biggest challenge this past year. In February, a pregnancy complication occurred and they almost lost Connor. Tiffeny underwent a successful emergency procedure and was required to be on bed rest for the remaining 5 months of the pregnancy. One month later, Ron was diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer at the age of 30. He endured surgery, radiation and a long cycle of chemotherapy, as well as the treatment's harsh side effects. Unfortunately, after Ron finished chemotherapy, he and Tiffeny recently learned that the cancer has spread to Ron's bone and that he will need continuing treatment.

Ron and Tiffeny are facing this latest diagnosis with the remarkable grace and positivity they've maintained throughout their whole ordeal. However, no amount of grace and positivity can change the fact that facing medical issues like the ones Ron is up against takes an enormous financial toll. Of course, contributing to that toll are frequent doctor's visits, emergency room treatments, surgeries, hospital stays and medication. But that's not all - Tiffeny and Ron are looking into working with Cancer Treatment Centers of America, which could entail repeated trips to Phoenix, AZ. Through all of this, the Langs have been trying to maintain as healthy a lifestyle as possible, to give Ron his best chances. This all adds up to a tremendous financial burden, one compounded by the effect Ron's illness has had on both his and Tiffeny's ability to work during his treatment.
This is where we all, the Langs' friends and family, come in. Knowing that Ron and Tiffeny face a tough road ahead, I've set up this website to collect financial contributions to help support the Langs while they fight this terrible disease. Anything you can give will make a difference - Ron and Tiffeny need us now more than ever!
Please forward this website along to anyone who might be interested in helping. And thank you for your generosity - it's more helpful than you can ever know.
