I’m creating this GoFundMe for Rolanda and her husband, Alec, as they face an unexpected and scary medical situation.
A couple months ago, Alec woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible headache and aggressive vomiting. Thankfully, his wife, Rolanda, is an RN and knew something wasn’t right.
Testing discovered a subarachnoid cyst in Alec’s brain, later his MRV showed that the cyst is blocking blood flow from his head through his jugular and back toward his heart. He continues to have headaches, nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite, weightloss and now vision changes. They have been told that Alec will very likely need brain surgery and are waiting for KU Neurology to determine the next steps.
Alec is a firefighter and has been unable to work for awhile because of this. During that time, Rolanda a hard-working nurse has been working as much as she can to provide both of their incomes while also caring for Alec and getting him to appointments. Anyone who knows these two knows they are always the ones helping and caring for others. Now they could really use that same support.
We are raising money to help with bills, living expenses, travel to Kansas City, medical expenses, and the costs that will come with Alec’s treatment and surgery. Any donation, share, thoughts, or prayers means more than you know. Please help take some of the financial stress off Alec and Rolanda Langley so they can focus on what matters most getting Alec healthy. Will continue to give updates❤️
