This is not easy for us to write. We’re usually the ones showing up to help others, and asking for help doesn’t come naturally. But right now, we’re at a point where we can’t get through this without our community.
 Jake has spent the last ten years working in healthcare, and both of us spend our free time volunteering as street medics, showing up at protests and community gatherings to care for people when things get hard. Recently, Jake was forced to leave his job because of pressure tied to his activism.
 Finn is disabled and has not allowed to return to work for over a month after a seizure. Even though multiple doctors have cleared him to return with accommodations, his employer has refused to let him come back. With both of us suddenly out of work, we’ve been doing everything we can to find new jobs, but in this economy it hasn’t been easy. Bills, rent, and medical expenses keep piling up, and we’re running out of options. We don’t like asking, but we need help. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to rent, food, and medical care to get us through this rough patch. Even if you can’t give, just sharing this fundraiser means the world to us. We’re leaning on the same community we’ve always tried to care for, and we’re so grateful for anything you can do.
