Help Ed Beat Cancer-CHIPSA

We have an anonymous donor that has agreed to match up to $20K to get us halfway to get to a goal of $40K. Eddie needs $40K to make treatment at the CHIPSA clinic happen. Please see the following for why Eddie needs to get this treatment as soon as possible:
Eddie Meidunas' metastatic, stage IV cancer has expanded from the esophagus to the lower thoracic cavity and down into the abdomen. He is experiencing significant pain in his flank as a result of the cancer having spread to that area with not much relief from the pain meds prescribed. His oncological team is doing what they can with chemotherapy to try and kill the cancer cells but they have made it clear that Eddie needs to seek more specialized and aggressive treatment than they are able to offer.
As a result, the chief oncologist recommended attendance at the CHIPSA cancer treatment clinic in Mexico to treat this cancer. This clinic has a very good track record and success rate for fighting and defeating the type of cancer Eddie has. Unfortunately, the clinic costs $40,000 for someone in Ed's condition to attend and complete their treatment regimen.
Hence, we are asking for help to be able to pay for this clinic attendance and subsequent costs related to traveling there, taking care of Ed's home situation while he is gone, and follow-up appointments required of the clinic to maintain and gauge progress. As well, Ed is incurring great cost and expenditure as a result of going on disability (a 40% pay cut in my in-coming finances, and paying out-of-pocket expenses averaging around $2,000-$3,000 per month covering treatments, therapies, co-pays, admin, nutrition, and coordination of almost-daily treatments and therapies). Needless to say, Ed is burning through funds monthly to fight this cancer (along with the cut in income mentioned). Insurance (Tricare) pays for the conventional treatments (chemo and radiation) and doctors visits but it doesn't touch all of the other expenses mentioned. Tricare does not cover CHIPSA clinic attendance.
Please help Ed get to this CHIPSA clinic to get to a position where he can jump-start remission.
The reality is that Ed's future is very uncertain and his oncological team has made it clear that Ed needs to be proactive and aggressive in his treatment to greatly improve his odds of beating this cancer. He can fight this cancer as best as possible on his own but it will be difficult to beat it on his own. Please help Ed beat this cancer by getting him to the point where he can afford to pay to attend the CHIPSA cancer treatment center mentioned.
