Hello Friends,

My name is Douglas Cho and I believe the Lord has called me to help those who deal with mental health.
For me this mission is very personal as I myself have dealt with mental health illness for over 20 years, but by His grace have received breakthrough and healing through Jesus.  My desire is to help those who struggle with mental health to receive the same breakthrough and healing in their lives.

I would like your help to fund the mental health ministry (Voic3). We have begun the process of creating the non-profit and currently waiting it to be finalized.
In the meantime, we would like to raise financial support to get the necessary resources: curriculum materials, prayer minister training, and ministry team.

We are here to engage and minister to the Bay Area in Northern California.  I believe the Lord called me out to this area and partner with Pastor Dave Chae, who is the senior pastor here at Fremont Community Church.  We want to reach out to those  who are struggling with any aspect of mental health utilizing a holistic faith based approach that addresses the spirit, soul and body.

Milestones we have accomplished:

• Finalized the mission and vision statement 
• Created Voic3 informational pamphlet describing the ministry's mission, vision, goals and future projects
• Started our first weekly mental health life group on 2/21/19
• Utilizing the Life Model Works curriculum to use in our life group class - lifemodelworks.org 
• Started the process of creating the 501c3 non-profit and obtained the domain name Voic3.org
• Initializing healing prayer room for people who need inner healing prayer using the Immanuel approach - immanuelapproach.com 
• Began 1 on 1 counseling sessions with first candidate

Our first life group class was very fruitful and received very good feedback from both the students and the mental health ministry team.  We are grateful that the Forming class was effective and successful in reaching everyone in a positive light.  This also includes using the Immanuel approach at the end of each class to connect with God and to leave feeling appreciation in being able to be in His presence.
We are also planning to add a third component which will be the body aspect of exercise and nutrition as it is crucial in maintaining good physical health as it effects our mind and spirit.

I am blessed to meet so many people who see a depserate need for a mental health ministry in this area.  There is much the Lord wants to do and I am just a vessel to be used for His glory to help bring healing against the strongholds of mental health.  I am blessed that He can use me and am excited to see what He will do here in the Bay Area.
