We are moving to beautiful Bend, Oregon in May of 2018 where the sun is shining and there is a blossoming vegan and eco-minded community that is calling to us. The vegan events and projects we worked on in the past 8 years were purposeful but we know that teaching has much more of an impact. Therefore, we are excited to announce our return to our Vegan Culinary Arts Trainings and will offer our programs again, new and improved, with added value and bonuses. Chef Al will share his vegan culinary genius and teach cooking and kitchen skills and Donna will focus on teaching all other aspects of embracing a vibrant vegan lifestyle. Imagine learning more chef-tested recipes, how to menu plan, shop, stock your fridge and pantry and entertain in a way that is nutrient dense AND satisfying to the palate. The evidence is in: this lifestyle is good for you, the animals and the planet.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
We are welcoming immediate funds to further our success and message outreach including an upgrade to a MacBook Pro and accessories (our last MacBook Pro stopped working); our website redesign; and purchase of a used 2004 Toyota RAV4. These funds are needed right away so that we can get started with our impactful 5 Day and 20 Day Vegan Culinary Arts Programs in 2018. People are looking for creative ways in to preparing healthful meals and we can provide that with our ongoing work.

Donna Benjamin is a vegan lifestyle coach and educator and uses her marketing, improvisational and writing skills in her work and ongoing activism. She has a B.S. in Television-Radio from Syracuse University; and is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute. She enjoys inspiring Al to create new recipes; networking; playing and teaching Native American Courting Flute; playing drums; singing and making up songs in the moment and bringing people together for the greater good.
Al Chase, a.k.a. Chef Al, is a vegan chef, educator and consultant and is a 1979 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and Living Light Culinary Arts Institute and has been cooking and teaching vegan culinary arts for 27 years. He is an early adopter of this now popular and growing lifestyle and cuisine and has appeared at conferences, events and VegFests across the country. Al has practiced Transcendental Meditation twice daily since 1983 which helps him teach in a grounded, effective and peaceful manner.
