Father dies in tragic Nashville robbery/shooting

On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, Marcos Reyes-Hernandez was shot and killed in Nashville as he unloaded his pick-up truck following a usual hard day's work. A senseless tragedy in what police suspect was an attempted robbery.
Marcos was re-building life for himself and his surviving son and daughter following the brutal murders of his wife and 1 of 2 daughters just 3 years ago. His 2nd daughter, Alexandra (now 19), suffered terrible injuries in the same attack.
Marcos and his son David (now 22) worked tirelessly to care for Alexandra who is slowly making progress from her traumatic head injuries. Marcos' death leaves his son David to care for himself and his sister on his own.
We ask for your assistance and generosity to help cover funeral expenses and to provide some support to living expenses in the immediate aftermath of this devastating event. In addition to the overwhelming grief of losing their father, David and Alexandra will be faced with significant financial burdens in the near term.
With heavy hearts and near endless tears we say good bye to our dear friend Marcos. He is deeply and sadly missed by our family. In spite of his own tragedies, he greeted everyone with a warm, bright smile and never asked for help, but always asked how he could help you. Our city has lost an extremely kind, thoughtful, and generous man who brought love and beauty to our community.
