Help Coach Shaffer Recover

Hi, my name is Chris Shaffer. On July 26 I was on my way home from coaching meetings and was struck by another vehicle that crossed the median and t-boned me leaving me incapacitated. As a result, I suffered 9 broken bones including:both legs, my left thumerus and ulna,  left hip, sternum, rt clavicle and several rt. ribs. Adding to the injuries I suffered a stroke because of the accident that affected my left side which has complicated my recovery significantly. Because of this accident, I've been in the hospital/rehab since and amassed over 50,000 dollars in medical bills to date.

I will need another surgery in a couple of weeks for a bone graft to try and repair my left femur which was badly damaged. I am humbly starting this gofundme because I am unable to work at this point and would like to find available resources in order to help with medical bills and family expenses umtil I can get back to work.

About me: I have been a teacher and a coach for 20 years, so this is a very difficult time for me because school has started and football season is in full swing. I spend my days in rehab doing my best to get back to doing what I love: teaching kids and being a coach. Thank you for your  prayers  an consideration God bless.
