Chelsea Marie LIVER TRANSPLANT

Donation protected
Chelsea Marie was born in 1990. Such a happy moment turned into pure devastation with worry. Chelsea was diagnosed with, BILLARY ATRESIA . Which means the bile ducts inside or outside of the liver does not have a normal opening.

Since Chelsea was born she has been seen at John Hopkins Hospital, several times each year throughout her life. This child has never known the difference of a lifestyle without doctors and nurses in her view. She has been poked and probed and injected, tested, X-ray, Mri and surgeries since she was a baby.

In a room of 15 children diagnosed with the same disease 3 are still alive. Thanks to the liver team at John Hopkins, Chelsea Marie is one of those 3 children. 1 had a liver transplant, 1 has had 2 liver transplants. The first one at age 10 failed. Chelsea has survived up until now with outpatient treatments and procedures. However now her condition has deterated to the point where a liver transplant is needed for her survival. So you can see how this supports how rare this sort of liver transplant is.

This Beautiful 25 year old was told all her life she wasn't going to be able to have children; but by the grace of God she gave birth to a beautiful babygirl in 2008. Her wish is to stay alive to raise her daughter and do things with her daughter that she herself has missed out on in her lifetime. Chelsea 's liver has really been a fighting issue all her life, but the last 7 years has been the worst.
She has worn a tube and bag under her clothing for little more then 5 years. The tube empties the bile that normally goes threw your intestines. Without that bag the toxins would of killed her. Her body is prone to colongitius. Which is a deathly infection that could cause cancer. Which we are trying to avoid. She also has been threw so many surgeries and once she went into epelectedshock.
That was so scary, I will never forget running to her side telling her" to hang on Chels we are here." To find out she had an allergic relation to some meds.

You can see how much weight she has lost over the years. The yellowing pigment of her eyes and skin tone due to the failing liver. I have seen for myself how weak Chelsea is. But she always lets everyone see her shining white teeth with that beautiful smile when asked " how you doing Chels"
Chelsea is not a person to ask for help. She would rather do it on her own and she has been. But now I beleive deep in my heart that it is time to ask for help.

Donations are needed for Chelsea's medical expenses and any other expenses while this liver transplnt is in process.
She lives 3 hours away from the hospital and after the transplant will need to be seen multiple times per month to keep her body from rejecting the new liver n monitor a complete and successful recovery.

Chelsea is now 8 th on the list at J.H. With a type o+ blood type. I am hoping this will take the stress off of her so she can fight and continue to stay alive. With stress free healing knowing their are people in this world who care, support and love her.

Every dollar adds up, every dollar will be used by Chelsea and if anything should happen unexpectly then these funds will go straight to her daughter.

Lets keep Chelsea in your prayers if you cannot donate, please SHARE.

Let me intoduce myself, I am Chelsea,s Aunt Tracy. A (MoM)
I have been with Chelsea through this whole process.
going to Doctor Visits, spending the nights and weeks at the hospitals. Supporting her parents. Welcoming Chelsea and all her family and friends in my home in Baltimore throughout this process.
This is why I have decided to ask for the help she needs that she will not ask for herself. I have seen this child grow into this lovely women. Needing medical bills paid, needing gas and toll expenses. Wondering how she was going to make it to Baltimore with her car. or having to borrow a car to make it to John Hopkins.
She is very special to me and I thank everyone for your help. Please SHARE. Thank you and God Bless our Troops!
