Giving Back To Rescuers Who Lost Everything

Bruce and Holdy have suffered though a major tragety and need our help. Bruce is a dedicated young man who has centered his life around helping animals in need. When he was only 17 he began caring for foxes in need and despite facing personal health issues, he worked tirelessly to save up enough money to come to the United States when he was 19 to volunteer at a fox rescue so that he could gain knowledge on how to start a rescue of his own. He met Holdy through the fox community a few years later and together they created the first rescue in their country that specifically takes in foxes who are surrendered after being kept as pets.

Recently, Bruce and Holdy faced a devastating fire that consumed their home when an extension cord used to charge an electric car sparked into flames.

Miraculously, everyone escaped unharmed. Luckily, their home was not attached to their animal rescue and the animals they did kept at the home were able to escape the fire. But because they were not insured this event has left them with nothing but the clothes on their back and no way to rebuild. Their suffering continued to grow when a few short days later, Bruce’s beloved first fox, Hazel, escaped during the chaos of their now changed lives, adding another layer of anguish to their already heavy hearts.

Now, Bruce and Holdy find themselves grappling with the immense loss of their home, their cherished companion, and the daunting task of rebuilding their lives while continuing to run the rescue that means everything to them.
