Help Brenda eat and have confidence again please

Hello, my name is Brenda.

I want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to read my GoFundMe. I started this journey on June 6th, 2024. Due to bad genetics, I have always had bed teeth. On the 6th my dentist and I made a plan for the removal of my teeth and to get dentures. Between August and November, they removed my teeth, healing went well. 3 weeks later they did the molds of my mouth, which was very painful. 3 weeks after that I went back to the surgeon to have many bone spurs removed. In March I received my dentures. Unfortunately, my dentures did not fit from the start. I was not able to close my lips; they were too thick and big for my mouth. He shaved them down so I could at least close my lips.

Unfortunately, even with adhesive, after about 8 hours the adhesive starts to fail. If I drink too much liquid, it will break down much sooner and then my mouth is covered in adhesive for the remainder of my workday. I am unable to eat with my dentures in. If I do they rock back and forth, and the adhesive fails, and they fall out. During the day I drink Adkins protein drinks and when I get home after I take out my dentures, I can eat something soft. I have lost about 30 pounds, most of it since I received my dentures. I am now down to 120 pounds.

I have missed so many events because of this. Holidays with my family, My daughter's birthday brunch, lunches and dinners with my friends and family. If it wasn't for my name being on them, I would have thought, they were someone else's. In fact, my new dentist thought they were someone else's. I am hoping to raise the money to be able to have them remade. I just want to be able to eat and have my confidence back.
