Hi friends,
My sweet companion, Billy Wayne, is going through one of the toughest times of his life. Recently, he was diagnosed with a degenerative, congenital joint condition in his left leg—mainly in his elbow—that had been silently causing him great pain. Like many dogs, he masked his discomfort until he injured his paw, and only then did the full extent of his struggles become clear.
Because of the pain, Billy Wayne relied heavily on his right side, which caused muscle atrophy in his left shoulder. After four difficult nights at the vet (the first time we’ve ever been apart since he came into my life), we learned he will most likely need surgery with an orthopedic specialist. In the meantime, he urgently needs a custom-made orthopedic brace costing around $1,100 to support his leg and relieve his pain.
The medical bills are piling up quickly, and I need help to make sure Billy Wayne gets the best care possible—care that will relieve his pain, save his leg, and give him the quality of life he deserves.
Billy Wayne’s Story
Billy Wayne came into my life about 8 years ago after being abandoned by his original family. I had trained him and helped get him certified as a PTSD service dog for a veteran who had served several tours. Tragically, the veteran and his wife later moved away and left both of their dogs in my care, never coming back for them. Billy became mine, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
He is more than just a dog—he is my family, my heart, and a soul who has already given so much love and service in his life.
How You Can Help
Due to the difficult economy, my work has slowed down, and I cannot afford these rising medical costs on my own. I’m humbly asking for help—whether through a donation (no matter how small), by sharing this fundraiser, or simply by sending good energy and prayers for Billy Wayne’s healing.
Every act of support means the world to us.

From the bottom of my heart—thank you for helping me give Billy Wayne the chance to live his best, pain-free life.
with a degenerative, congential, previously unknown joint condition in his left leg, mostly his elbow. Because of the pain, he was relying on his right leg more and this caused atrophy in the shoulder muscles of his left leg. He, as dogs are known to do, masked his pain until he recently injured his paw.
When I took him to the vet, all of the other problems were discovered. He spent 4 nights there which was extremely difficult since we have never been apart since he became my companion.
What I know is that he is going to have to see an orthopeadic surgeon for surgery evaluation, whick is most likely inevitable. In the meantime, he needs a custom made orthopaedic brace that costs almost $1,100.00. The medical bills are quickly becoming overwhelming and I am asking for help in order to get him the best care available, relieve his pain, save his leg and maintain a good quality of life for this wonderful dog.
