With heavy hearts, we share that Billy has passed away after a long and courageous fight. He held on with incredible strength and spirit, and we are so proud of how hard he battled every step of the way.
We want to thank each and every one of you who supported Billy and our family—through your prayers, kind words, and generous contributions. Your love meant more than we can ever express.
If you still feel moved to give, all donations will now go toward covering Billy’s final expenses and helping ease the financial burden on our family during this incredibly difficult time. Any amount is appreciated more than you know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us. Your support has been a light during the darkest days.
Update: Shifting Focus to Billy’s Recovery First, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has donated, prayed, or shared this campaign. Because of your generosity, my sister Debbie was able to travel and be by her son Billy’s side during one of the most difficult times of his life. That alone has been a blessing we can’t put into words. Now, our focus turns to getting Billy well enough to be re-evaluated and placed back on the transplant list. As many of you know, Billy is a self-employed handyman who specializes in home improvements and building decks. While he’s hospitalized, he’s unable to work—and the financial toll of this medical crisis is hitting hard. On top of everything he’s facing physically, he’s also carrying a heavy mental burden over the financial stress. If you’re in a position to help—whether it’s by donating, sharing the campaign, or simply offering a prayer—we would be deeply grateful. Every bit helps more than you know. Please continue to keep Billy in your prayers as he fights to heal and regain hope.
Help Debbie Be With Her Son During His Medical Crisis
My sister Debbie is one of the strongest women I know. A hardworking mom of five, she’s spent her life taking care of others—cleaning houses just to make ends meet and always putting her family first. Now, she needs our help.
Her son, Billy, is currently in intensive care in Maryland, fighting for his life due to a severe blood infection. Doctors say that if he survives the coming days, he may still face a long, difficult road ahead—including the likelihood of needing a liver transplant within the next 1–3 years.
Debbie lives in Florida, and the emotional and financial strain of trying to be with her son is overwhelming. She simply can’t afford to stop working, but no mother should have to choose between paying her bills and being at her child’s bedside during a medical crisis.
She’s already lived every mother’s nightmare once—losing her daughter to addiction at just 28 years old. Now, she’s clinging to hope that Billy will pull through. And she needs to be there. To hold his hand. To fight with him. To care for him when he (hopefully) comes home to recover.
I’m asking for your help to make that possible. Donations will go toward:
• Travel costs between Florida and Maryland
• Living expenses while she’s unable to work
• Support for ongoing trips and care once Billy is discharged
Anything you can give will mean the world—whether it’s $10 or $100. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this link and saying a prayer for healing.
Thank you for helping us surround Debbie and Billy with love, support, and hope during this incredibly difficult time.
