Help Suzanne Recover from A Brain Hemorrhage

After a month in Intensive Care and a week in the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit, my mom Suzanne Block was finally moved to the Nanaimo Hospital for the remainder of her recovery period from the massive brain hemorrhage she suffered from on October 15th. We are super grateful to have received enough donations to cover our motel during our stay in Victoria. Now that mom has reached this next stage in her recovery and our financial needs have changed. Mom's rehab nurses are asking what kind of house they live in and what their bathroom and living areas are equipped with. We are now raising funds to help cover costs for necessary equipment and nurse care as mom regains enough function to return home. Her projected discharge date is Feb 14, 2024. Please help us get her home!!!

Hi, my name is SharaLee Ward. On October 15th my mom Suzanne Block was rushed to emergency with a brain bleed. She underwent surgery to drain and remove the pressure. The surgeon has told us the surgery went well and her vitals are good. She is intubated to help her breathe because the doctors want to protect her airway. She is breathing on her own. Now it's a waiting game for her to regain full function. We have reached the initial 2 week mark so next steps in her recovery are being put in place gradually as she responds positively. This go fund me is so my family can cover the hotel stay needed during these early critical days after surgery and associated medical costs involved. Motel costs are adding up. We did get a decent monthly rate at the hospital recommended motel so my Dad, my brother Caleb and I can stay close to mom. She seems to respond more to us than to the nurses so we need to be consistent.
