Everyone who knows me knows how much my animals mean to me.
Bailey is one of 9 dogs and cats I rescued in Kuwait and brought home back to the Uk almost 3 years ago.
she was dumped on the streets of Kuwait once her previous owners got fed up of her.
Rescued and brought to me I couldn’t part with her and ended up adopting my 4th dog from Kuwait.
until this day I am still paying the cost of bring them over and the continued unexpected vet bills we have encountered along the way. Rounding the cost up roughly to £ 9000 to date.
A few months after arriving in the Uk Bailey developed skin problems on her face. At the time it was barley noticeable but as the months went by the condition got worse and spread from one eye to the other then eventually around he mouth and nose.
The PDSA have tried to treat her until they tried everything they could but unfortunately their resources are limited. Treated for fungal, allergies… using steroids, antibiotics and various creams and still it continued to spread.
I was forced to switch to a private vet.
The vet she is with now has reviewed her case and sent images off to dermatologist specialists but neither the vet nor the specialist have come across a case like Bailey’s.
The picture I have uploaded is what her face looked like 2 months ago. Her skin condition is so much worse, constant inflammation, irritated skin, bleeding and infected even though she has been put on topical and oral medication but nothing is working. She is next booked in for a biopsy which is what I am trying to raise funds for.
She is the sweetest little thing and deserves to live a life pain free and to get to the bottom of this condition once and for all.
any small amount will all add up and be very much appreciated
