Hi, I'm Toni, a single mother of two toddlers who escaped an abusive relationship to keep my children safe. Tomorrow at 12:00 p.m., we face eviction from our Co-op, and I have just 24 hours to raise $5,000 to keep our home.
Our situation isn't due to a lack of trying. I lost my remote job because my abuser forced entry into our home while I was wole domestic violence organizations, homeless prevention agencies, and even a local church offered to help pay what was owed. Because our home is a housing Co-op governed by by-laws instead of a traditional rental agreement, the Co-op refused to provide the required W-9 needed for those organizations to issue payment, leaving us at risk of eviction despite help being available.
I apply for employment online every day. If anyone is offering remote work opportunities, please send me a message with your contact information. I would gratefully appreciate the chance to be considered for a position since childcare isn't an option without income at the moment.
Your support will help us stop the eviction, keep my children safely housed, and give me the opportunity to rebuild our lives. Thank you for reading and sharing our story.
