After my son Alex’s successful surgery for his glioblastoma, he was able to enjoy life normally again for over a year and even got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Christina. However within the last few months, he quickly developed new complications and was discovered to have an aggressive secondary tumor impacting another part of his brain. This other tumor is causing paralysis on one side of his body and affecting his cognitive abilities. We are all doing what we can to be there for him, including researching alternative medicine and treatments that are being done in other places. His current doctors and surgeons have unfortunately stated that nothing more can be done for him here in Arizona. So, with help from this new fundraiser, our goal is to get him to a clinical trial at UCLA that is supposed to be able to treat the type of brain tumor he has and greatly prolong his life. We already have living arrangements for him in LA, but he will still need some help with travel and treatment costs.
