My Story

My name was Roxana Pamela H.

I am also known as Adriana Calin.

I am alive but legally, I do not exist.

In 2024, I discovered that my adoption had been secretly annulled in 2016. The Quebec government knew and for nine years, they never told me. I lived believing I had a life, a name, a place in the world and it had all been taken from me without warning or explanation.

When the full administrative investigation was completed in Romania, the result was crushing:

• No documents were located

• No valid birth record

• No civil identity to restore

I am here, breathing, living, loving but on paper, I am nothing.

My Reality Now

I am stuck in Romania without identity.

I cannot work.

I cannot earn income.

I cannot move forward with my life.

Every day, I feel invisible. I exist in the world, but the law refuses to see me. I never imagined being in a place where I cannot provide for myself because the system erased me.

It is humiliating.

It is frightening.

It is exhausting.

And every day, it chips away at my hope.

Most heartbreaking of all: my children deserve to have a mother. Their birth certificates currently list a woman who does not exist. Until I reclaim my identity, I cannot be recognized as their mother.

DNA My Only Proof

Because no documents exist, my only proof of being real is DNA.

The official DNA test with my brother has been completed.

Thanks to your generosity, the $2,513 CAD already raised covered:

• DNA testing

• Certified translations

• Initial legal consultations

• Administrative filings

Your support gave me a lifeline.

But DNA alone cannot give me a legal identity.

Only a court can do that.

The Court Case

The administrative process is DONE.

The DNA evidence is COMPLETE.

My lawyer is ready to file.

But legal representation WILL NOT move forward until the full fees are paid.

Without this payment, nothing can proceed.

And without a court ruling, I remain legally invisible a person who exists in the world, but nowhere in the law.

Until the court restores my identity, I cannot be officially recognized as the mother of my children and the law continues to list a woman who does not exist.

The $2,513 CAD already raised has been used to cover:

• The official DNA testing with my brother

• Certified translations

• Initial legal consultations and administrative filings

Remaining to Raise: $8,487 CAD

Breakdown of the remaining $8,487 CAD:

• $6,400 CAD – Legal representation & court proceedings (must be paid in full before filing)

• $2,087 CAD – Remaining administrative costs, court taxes, certified translations, and civil registration fees

All invoices are issued in LEI (RON).

With your help, this remaining amount will allow my lawyer to finally file my case, restore my legal identity, and legally recognize me as the mother of my children.

Why I Am Asking for Help

No one should have to fight for the right to exist.

No one should be unable to work, unable to prove their own life, because a system erased them.

I am not asking for comfort.

I am asking for the right to legally exist.

The right to a name.

The right to a future.

The right to be recognized as a mother by the law.

Even a small donation brings me closer to the courtroom closer to being recognized as a human being, and as the mother my children deserve.

And if you cannot donate, sharing this gives me hope too.

Because the only thing more painful than being erased…

Lorsque l’enquête administrative complète a été réalisée en Roumanie, le résultat a été dévastateur :

• Aucun document n’a été retrouvé

• Aucune identité civile à restaurer

Ma Réalité Actuelle

Je suis coincée en Roumanie sans identité.

Je ne peux pas travailler.

Je ne peux pas gagner d’argent.

Je ne peux pas avancer dans ma vie.

Chaque jour, je me sens invisible. J’existe dans le monde, mais la loi refuse de me voir. Je n’aurais jamais imaginé être dans une situation où je ne peux pas subvenir à mes besoins parce que le système m’a effacée.

C’est humiliant.

C’est effrayant.

C’est épuisant.

Et chaque jour, mon espoir s’amenuise.

Le plus douloureux : mes enfants méritent d’avoir une mère. Leurs certificats de naissance mentionnent actuellement une femme qui n’existe pas. Tant que je n’aurai pas récupéré mon identité, je ne pourrai pas être reconnue comme leur mère légalement ou aux yeux de la loi.

ADN Ma Seule Preuve

Comme aucun document n’existe, ma seule preuve d’existence est l’ADN.

Le test ADN officiel avec mon frère a été réalisé.

Grâce à votre générosité, les 2 513 $ CAD déjà collectés ont permis de couvrir :

• Tests ADN

• Traductions certifiées

• Consultations juridiques initiales

• Dépôts administratifs

Votre soutien m’a donné une bouée de sauvetage.

Mais l’ADN seul ne peut pas me donner une identité légale.

Seul un tribunal peut le faire.

La Procédure Judiciaire

Le processus administratif est TERMINÉ.

La preuve ADN est COMPLÈTE.

Mon avocat est prêt à déposer le dossier.

Mais la représentation légale n’avancera pas tant que les honoraires ne seront pas entièrement payés.

Sans ce paiement, rien ne peut avancer.

Et sans jugement du tribunal, je reste légalement invisible une personne qui existe dans le monde, mais nulle part dans la loi.

Tant que le tribunal n’aura pas restauré mon identité, je ne pourrai pas être officiellement reconnue comme la mère de mes enfants et la loi continue de mentionner une femme qui n’existe pas.

Avec votre aide, ce montant restant permettra à mon avocat de déposer enfin le dossier, de restaurer mon identité légale et d’être légalement reconnue comme la mère de mes enfants.

Pourquoi je demande de l’aide

Personne ne devrait avoir à se battre pour le droit d’exister.

Personne ne devrait être incapable de travailler ou de prouver sa propre vie parce qu’un système l’a effacé.

Je ne demande pas de confort.

Je demande le droit d’exister légalement.

Le droit à un nom.

Le droit à un avenir.

Le droit d’être reconnue comme mère par la loi.

Même un petit don me rapproche du tribunal et d’être reconnue comme un être humain, et comme la mère que mes enfants méritent.

Et si vous ne pouvez pas donner, partager cette campagne me donne aussi de l’espoir.

Parce que la seule chose plus douloureuse que d’être effacée…

c’est d’être effacée seule.
