My daughter Addison, 7 years old, was recently diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a pre-leukemia. The Dr told us it wouldn't be a matter of if it turned to Leukemia but a matter of when. It is caused by a genetic mutation called GATA2. She will need to undergo Chemotherapy to prepare her for a Bone Marrow Transplant, and then the transplant. This will be months long of treatments. This is a major financial burden on our family of two working parents. We are asking for help with bills, travel expenses and whatever other things may come up while we go down to 1 income.
