There is an urgent need to begin this fundraising for Aarón J. Torres' healing process. He is 23 years old, he obtained his OCC Associates degree and quickly transferred to UCI right when Covid hit. Therefore, Aaron had no graduation ceremony. He is now a Senior at UCI (University of California, Irvine). His major is Clinical Psychology. Aaron's mother Olga (Mimi) Torres continues to be at his side being their primary caretaker while her son recovers from complicated illnesses.

July 1st, Aarón had his first surgery to repair a Hiatal Hernia in his upper side of the stomach area. Major postoperative complications arose. Lung embolism, Sepsis, Internal Hemorrhaging. Aaron has endured 3 major surgeries, 3 Emergency visits, and a long 20 day hospital stay. Aaron has lost 45 lbs and his mother Olga is no longer working so she can care for his son's abdomen's open wound that keeps getting infected. This process at home can be exhausting as the wound needs to be cleaned and packed twice a day. Aarón required Home Healthcare to have professionals and more qualified nursing care for his medical needs. When Aarón is awake, he claims he wishes to be better so he could start a new job he recently accepted as a Research Assistant position at a Latino Organization for low cost care. This amazing young man reflects how much he cares for others' financial condition in hard times.

Olga (Mimi) Torres is a hardworking lady who is also a College student pursuing her Photography Still Certification at the School of Photography at Orange Coast College. For now, due to the circumstances, Olga has decided to put all her personal and professional goals "on-hold" as medical and financial expenses are taking precedence.
