On January 5 around 6pm, my brother Andy Garibay was riding his motorcycle on the dark area of Houghton Rd near his home when 2 horses that had gotten loose jumped in front of his motorcycle. One of the horses made it across the road, but unfortunately, Andy hit the second horse on its side. Andy received major injuries and was taken to a Bakersfield hospital. His injuries were too severe for our hospitals in town, and he was taken to Loma Linda for surgeries. Andy luckily survived (unfortunately, the horse died), but he has both of his arms in huge bandages and is not able to do much of anything for himself. Andy is a self-employed truck driver. If he isn't driving, he isn't earning money to pay for medical bills or household finances. The owner of the horse has not been located at this time and it looks like they might never be found. Please help Andy if you can. Please share!
