Heather's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
In March 2015, Heather, a single parent to 2 beautiful daughters, was given the shocking diagonsis that she had Squamous Cell Carcinoma Stage 3 Cancer to the head and neck. This diagnosis would mean immediate aggressive treatment involving 7 weeks of chemo and radiation, another 6 weeks of the active tissue killing effects of the treatments, placement of a feeding tube due to her inabitity to swallow, and constant hydration resulting in multiple emergency runs to the ER with extended overnight observations.Heather may need physical therapy to learn the technique of swallowing again, mobility of her neck muscles, and extensive dental care due to radiation killing the root tissue resulting in some of her teeth dying. Her youngest daughter, Mckenna, is 9 years old and about to start the 4th grade. Book fees, clothing, and school supplies are upcoming expenses Heather has to worry about. Heather's financial situation isn't the same since her diagnosis. She has been unable to work since and will be spending time healing, going to doctors appointments, and a possible lymph node removal surgery in October keeping her from work for many months post treatment. Heather is an independent, hardworking and humble parent who would never ask for help unless needed. After visiting her in the hospital it became clear that the hospital bills, cost of prescriptions, and her day-to-day living expenses were becoming overwhelming. She needs our help. Please donate from your heart, share Heather's battle with others, and continue to pray for Heather and her family. God Bless
