New Heart Needed for a Second Chance at Life!

Hello and thank you for taking a moment to read my story.

I hope this message finds you well.

At the age of 61, I find myself on a journey I never imagined. Today, I reach out from the depths of my heart, asking for your support during this incredibly challenging chapter of my life.

I am currently battling Stage IV congestive heart failure. My heart's ejection fraction is just 40% of what a healthy heart should be, greatly reducing its ability to pump oxygenated blood to my organs. This has left me with severe shortness of breath, concentration difficulties and exhaustion.

This journey began 18 years ago with atrial fibrillation and has grown more intense over time. Despite recent setbacks, including a kidney cancer diagnosis and surgery, I am grateful to have been approved for the heart transplant list—a process that could take a year or longer.

On top of my health struggles, I am facing immense personal challenges. The greatest is my inability to work and successfully pursue my passion of impacting people's lives with my speaking engagements and completing my two new books. To add to this, I’ve exhausted my financial resources fighting this illness for over a decade.

Having dedicated my life to helping others through my vocation and various acts of kindness projects, asking for help is deeply humbling. This is the hardest letter I've ever had to write.

Pride is the downfall of man. I either ask for help or I exit right. The second is not an option.

I firmly believe that my journey is guided by God’s hand. "If you want to make God laugh, just tell Him your plans." This is His plan for me. There are no coincidences. He's using me for His purpose which is to serve and inspire others of His grace.

Despite these difficult times, I am determined to persevere. The cost of a heart transplant is daunting, nearly $2 million before insurance. Although I have “some” coverage, the financial burden is overwhelming. The funds will be used to pay for tens of thousands of dollars in past medical bills and upcoming medical expenses specifically related to my transplant. This is why I humbly ask for your support.

With a new heart, I am committed to regaining my strength, completing the two books I’ve started and pursuing God’s purpose for me by sharing my journey of hope and perseverance to audiences around the world. While it may take time to repay your kindness by paying it forward I promise that I will do everything in my power to honor your generousity and kindness towards me.
