This GoFundMe was created on behalf of Haley. Within the last 24 hours, her life took a dramatic twist. On 3/3/24, she was taken to the emergency room to treat symptoms she had been having recently and by morning she was diagnosed with Leukemia. While the journey is just now beginning and there are still many unknowns, we know one thing for sure, Haley is a fighter!
Her Diagnosis:
Currently, it appears to be APL Leukemia which while treatable can be very aggressive. Results are still pending to understand the exact type that she has and path forward, this is where the doctors are at presently. As of today, 3/5/24, as a result of her diagnosis a CT scan located a small brain bleed as her body is not clotting blood properly. This of course has caused a lot of pain in her head. She has had to have a bone marrow biopsy and tests are still being conducted.
Immediate ways you can help:
Pray. We believe in the power of prayer in times like this and ask that you continue to keep Haley in your mind and prayers during this challenging time. Haley has always been a hard worker, and was unfortunately impacted by the recent layoff at her company that impacted her entire department. As a result, Haley currently does not have any health insurance and it is unclear how long she will be in the hospital and unable to work. Any and all financial assistance will go to help alleviate medical costs, assist with dog care, supplement any income and provide any basic needs that come up.
Additional ways to help:
Her blood type is A-, she is currently on constant blood transfusions and while we are thankful this resource is readily available to her, we want to continue to support her or any others in need. We encourage anyone who is able to donate blood as this is a huge asset to the healthcare system.
If you or anyone you know is a dog walker or dog sitter and would like to donate your time, we would greatly appreciate it. We have two Aussies and one lab that just need to be walked a couple times a day and played with in the interim. This would greatly free up time as we are commuting from Ardrey Kell area to CMC main on a daily basis. They are lovable and good dogs!
Meals - Haley is a huge asset to her family at home, cooking, lawncare etc... We will be setting up a meal train to help with this in the meantime. Link to come.
