Overcoming obstacles to healing from Lyme.

I am Lisa Brough - a good friend of Amara's.

For 8 years now I have provided support where I can, but with many obstacles to healing - we need a multifaceted approach if she is going to make it!

Recently Amaras dental health worsened, and in Australia we have no government funding for significant dental issues. For those of you who know about chronic illness - you will know that untreated abscesses and bone infection can be the very reason a person cannot get better from their illness.

I am a Natural Therapist myself, practicing Biomagnetism... but even my skills cannot overcome this sort of dental issue.

In the next week, Amara will have her dental assessment and a series of surgeries are likely needed to fix the issue.

Another very serious obstacle to healing is financial distress. Amara and her Mum Ros are both pensioners and have unrelenting financial distress trying to pay the bills and buy groceries.

We have come up with a comprehensive plan of treatments and support to help get Amara over the line and live a pain free life and improve functioning.

I am thanking you all for your generosity. If we are not here for each other when in crisis - then what are we here for?

Here is our plan.

*Complete a comprehensive diet and supplement plan under the guidance of Mark Hathaway, Biochemistry health coach. Initial consult already completed and paid for by myself. Follow up testing and supplements for a 6-month period will be $2,110. This is a healing program designed to repair the structures of the body, help mental wellbeing and correct deficiencies.

*Full dental screening with cone beam scan to be completed this week. Treatment plan including abscess removal, bone graft and tooth removal if required. Total cost is $6.665.

*Incidental chemist and homeopathy supplies. Amaras level of pain in constant and many out of pocket expenses and incurred to manage her pain from Trigeminal Neuralgia and Endometriosis amongst other sources of pain. $500.

*Power/water/phone Utilities for 6 months. Amaras body cannot regulate temperature and the Brisbane heat also exacerbates her pain. She has no choice but to run air-conditioning constantly. The power bills alone are 1,800 per quarter. We will cover Utilites to give relief to financial distress totaling $4,600.

*Amara has now secured NDIS funding for carers, and they will be helping her implement the health plan at home. Her mental acuity when in pain is not great, and so she really needs team help to implement a big plan such as this! This is an amazing breakthrough!

*As a priority, once the financial and dental obstacles are gone - she can now undergo Trauma therapy with myself as well as others as needed. This is key to keeping cortisol down to allow the body to enter the healing state and for the immune system to start functioning properly again. This will be donated.

*Biomagnetism will be resumed to help restore internal pH and affect the microbe load in the body, relieve pain and improve mental wellbeing. 10 sessions $1,300.

*Other steps in rehabilitation will include physiotherapy funded by NDIS and Medicare. It's super important to help her restore muscle and joint stability. Home exercises will be performed with her carer's supervision.
