A few months ago, I truly believed I was finally turning a corner.
After spending two months in the hospital, enduring multiple surgeries, and fighting my way through one complication after another, I was finally back home. My focus was simple: heal, rebuild my business, and get my life back.
Then everything changed in an instant.
A couple of weeks ago, while doing something as simple as caring for my feet, I heard an incredibly loud pop. I had somehow broken my femur completely in half. Because I’m paralyzed, I couldn’t feel the pain, but I knew immediately something was terribly wrong.
I was rushed back to the hospital where I underwent yet another surgery. Doctors had to realign my leg, insert pins, and once again begin the long road of recovery.
This unexpected setback has been devastating.
Not only has it delayed my healing, but it has also brought my small business to a near standstill. Between the two months I had already spent in the hospital and now another surgery and recovery, I’ve fallen further behind than I ever imagined possible.
For anyone who knows me, you know asking for help is incredibly difficult. I’ve always believed in working hard and earning my way. I want nothing more than to get back into my craft room, creating the projects I love and supporting myself again.
But today, I’m facing a reality that honestly scares me.
I can’t pay my rent this month.
My daughter and son-in-law have stepped in every time they’ve been able, and I can never thank them enough. But they’ve reached the point where they simply can’t carry this burden alone, and neither can I.
If you’ve ever purchased one of my craft kits, watched one of my videos, shared a kind word, or prayed for me, you’ve already been part of my journey. I’m asking, with a very humble heart, if you’re able to help me through this latest setback, I would be forever grateful.
No gift is too small, and if you’re unable to give, I completely understand. Your prayers, your encouragement, and sharing my story are gifts I treasure just as much.
Thank you for believing in me, for standing beside me through every surgery, every setback, and every small victory. I refuse to give up. I just need a little help getting through this chapter so I can get back to doing what I love.
With love and endless gratitude,
Jenn
