Brian Reed's Legacy - A Headstone & a Gift for His Children

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and stood by us during the heartbreaking loss of our beloved friend, Brian Reed. Because of your generosity — and the incredible support from friends and family — Brian has now been laid to rest with the dignity he deserved.

But his story doesn’t end here.

Brian was a father, a friend, and a force of nature. He leaves behind two beautiful children who meant the world to him. In his honor, we’re continuing this fundraiser with two heartfelt goals:

1. A Headstone Worthy of His Spirit

Brian’s final resting place still needs a headstone — something that reflects his humor, his grit, and the love so many had for him. We don’t yet know the exact cost, but even a modest headstone can range from $1,000 to $3,000 or more, depending on materials and engraving.

2. A Future Gift for His Children

We also want to create a savings account or trust fund that will grow over time and be gifted to Brian’s children when they turn 21 years old. This fund will serve as a message from their father — and from all of us — that they were deeply loved, and that his legacy lives on through them. Every dollar donated will be placed in an interest-bearing account or legally structured trust, in accordance with Virginia law, to ensure it’s protected and waiting for them when the time comes.

This is more than a fundraiser.

It’s a promise.

A promise that Brian’s memory will be honored not just today, but in the years to come — through a headstone that marks his place in the world, and through a gift that reaches forward into his children’s future.
