Help me and my family to evacuate Gaza
Donation protected
My name is Hassan Abumughannam, a Palestinian citizen trapped at the South Gaza crossing with my wife, two young children, and mother. I arrived in Gaza a week before the war to visit a doctor specializing in hearing, as my son has hearing problems. I graduated in architectural studies in 2017. Unfortunately, upon our arrival the war was start after a week , we discovered later that our homes had been completely demolished, leaving nothing salvageable. We have lost everything we had, and we are unsure how long it will take to leave and start anew from scratch.

For the past four months, we have been seeking shelter with hundreds of displaced families at a refugee camp that has become a refuge for thousands in the south. Women and children are sleeping in cramped , while the men sleep outside in tents in the courtyard. Recent rainstorms have flooded our tents, and it has become increasingly difficult to meet our basic needs.

You may have come across my updates on Facebook or Instagram, where I share the realities of life in Gaza. As you are aware, the situation here is dire. Access to food, flour, medicine, diapers, toiletries, and even water is limited. Whatever is available has been either destroyed or is sold at exorbitant prices.

The situation in Gaza grows more dangerous and unpredictable with each passing minute. It is with great humility that I reach out for your support. My online community has encouraged me to accept contributions to help save my family. I am grateful for your words of encouragement and your willingness to support us as we strive towards self-sufficiency.

Evacuating from Gaza is a costly endeavor, particularly now when I have no source of income. Your donations will go towards covering our travel expenses and providing immediate support for me and my family. We will require funds for meals, clothing, emergencies, and other essentials. Rest assured that every generous contribution will be put to good use.

My goal is to evacuate to safety with my family. The cost of evacuation is:
$5,000 for myself
Another $5,000 for both of my sons ($2,500 each)
$5000 each for my mother and wife
We are also eventually hoping to raise funds to be able to rent a house in Egypt, purchase clothes , Any funds remaining after evacuation will be put toward securing housing and starting life anew.

Thank you from the depths of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for sharing it with your friends and family. May a ceasefire be agreed upon, allowing us rest and the safety we deserve as we work towards rebuilding our lives once more.
