As you know, Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas Coast on August 28, 2017. Many comunities around Houston were impacted and Kingwood is one of those . Kingwood is about 28 miles north of Houston, with a population of about 80,000. Many were affected by the storm, lost everything and now need to rebuild their lives. After being on ground zero of Hurricane Harvey, spending days evacuating neighbors and serving in the community, we have decided that we can do more.
We are setting up this account because the need is so great. We are group of close freinds that met a few years ago here in Kingwood. This town is so precious to us and we want to help the families around us.
100% of these funds will go directly to those families that we have met, that others know and a few of our personal friends that have nothing. These funds will go towards small items such as toothpaste, clothes, food, medicine, basic home improvement, etc. But if we get enough, we can possibly help by paying for their shelter or even a rebuild a lost home. Every bit helps.
Funds will be distributed as a reimbursment to assure the money is spent correctly. We will scann every receipt and keep it for our records.
Kingwood needs help NOW! Please help us restore and rebuild our community. #Rebuildkingwood
