We want to introduce you to a great adventure of sharing Jesus Christ through the rhyme and meter of a creative story entitled "The Gingerboy’s Search for Christmas". This entertaining story for children clearly shares the message of Jesus through the metaphor of the Gingerboy.
Author Joanne Kimberly spent the first eighteen years of her life living in the small town of Hollis, NH. She received her BA in Theatre, English and Secondary Education from the University of New Hampshire. After graduating, she married her husband, David, and they continue to share a fulfilling life in their call to ministry together.
As a reading specialist with reading endorsement certification, Joanne has written “Gingerboy’s Search for Christmas” for parents and grandparents to read to their children at bed time to help develop that special bond, and to contribute to children’s awareness of how loved and special they are through the message, poetry, and pictures of the story.
Due to this life-giving message, in recent years, the Salvation Army has distributed gift copies of Gingerboy's Search for Christmas through its Prison Fellowship Angel Tree distributions, reaching thousands of lesser-advantaged children with a parent in prison. Having reached 40,000 children last year, the Foundation's goal is to reach 60,000 children this year. One book costs $5.00 and reaches, on average, just under three children. Thank you for your time in considering this. If you choose to provide gift copies of Gingerboy's Search for Christmas this year and also share this appeal with others, a special word of thanks for your graciousness and generosity.
