Honoring the Life and Legacy of Hannah (Winston) Earle:
On October 21, 2024 our dear friend and classmate passed away peacefully, eight years after her brave and unrelenting journey through metastatic breast cancer.
To us, Hannah wasn’t just a classmate—she was a bright light. Spunky, curious, kind-hearted, and endlessly compassionate. Hannah was the kind of person who made every study session feel meaningful, every conversation more thoughtful, and every gathering more joyful; a friend who truly showed up—for school events, volunteering, church gatherings, and everyday moments.
Since 2013, Hannah built a life in New Hampshire with her husband, Andrew, and their two children, Clara and Matthias. She was a long-time librarian, and for several of those years she could be found at the local high school helping students discover books, ideas, and themselves through learning. She felt this role was the most impactful of her experiences. Even as she navigated the challenges of “cancerland,” as she called it, she shared her journey with honesty, humor, and grace—offering wisdom, vulnerability, and light to everyone who followed her story.
Though Hannah will rest eternally in New Hampshire, we wanted to create a space in the world she once called home, where her story can continue to inspire.
Creating a Memorial Space in the Eagle High School Library:
Being a high school librarian was Hannah's favorite role, and it’s only fitting that we honor her where stories are kept and shared. We are raising funds to transform a corner in the EHS Library into an “Alice in Wonderland”-inspired space—a whimsical area that reflects one of Hannah’s favorite literary worlds. Alongside this dedicated corner, we will be refreshing the library by painting the walls an "Eagle Mustang Green", replacing broken and outdated furniture, and adding special touches that reflect the spirit of our school.
How You Can Help:
We invite you to be part of this tribute— Your contribution will help us create a space that reflects her imagination, warmth, and love for literature—and ensures that her legacy continues to impact students for years to come.
