On October 15,  2014 my cousin  Mike and his wife Tricia gave birth to an adorable little girl named Hannah. Hannah's start in the world was a little different than most and that is where her epic journey began. Hannah has cerebral palsy (or more commonly known cp), this affects everything from her body movement, muscle control, coordination, tone, reflex, posture to balance.


Now, Hannah is  2 and has proven to be one of the strongest people I have ever met. She works tirelessly each day during physical therapy to gain strength and practice muscle control.  It's not hard to see where Hannah gets her tenacity from.  Her mother and father are two of the most compassionate and fearless people I know. Mike and Tricia have done, and continue to do, everything they can to help Hannah to grow and thrive.


Inspired by this love and determination, I've decided that I want to do my part to help find a cure for CP.  I want to show support for Hannah, her amazingly epic journey, and the epic journey of all children born with CP.


On November 13, 2016 I will be running the “Cambridge Half” half marathon. I am running my 13.1 miles in honor of Hannah. My goal is to raise $2,000 to support cerebral palsy research geared towards finding a cure.  


The money raised will go to Cure CP  (www.CureCP.org).  Cure CP is a non-profit organization that works not only to educate people as to what CP is but also supports cerebral palsy research in institutions around the country with a focus on developing new therapeutic methodologies for the treatment of cerebral palsy.
