Hang in there, Red!

On Thursday, May 10th Reginald ‘Red’ Williams was involved in a motorcycle / automobile accident as he headed home from working at Steadfast Concrete, Inc.  in Marshall, TX.  Red suffered multiple, traumatic injuries which include a shattered pelvis, femur, and knee, as well as internal bleeding and several lacerations.  Red was stabilized at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, TX then flown to LSUS University Health in Shreveport, LA, via a Trinity Mother Francis Flight for Life helicopter, where he currently remains in the surgical ICU.
Immediately, Red has a mighty fight ahead of him to recover from his injuries.  The road to complete recovery will be quite long and costly.  His absence will be devastating for his family, as will the loss of his income.
Red’s wife, Cherrelle, will be dividing her time between caring for Red at the hospital in Shreveport, LA and caring for their two school aged boys at their home in Longview, TX.
The Williams family will benefit greatly from any support we are able to offer,  emotional as well as financial.
All proceeds will go directly to Cherrelle, for the benefit of the Williams family.  They will incur many expenses as a result of the accident, in addition to their normal living expenses usually covered by Red’s income.
My husband, Brandy, and I (Kerry) have owned Steadfast Concrete for 20+ years. Red is our employee. I set up this fund to try to do SOMETHING, ANYTHING to help in a situation where we feel pretty powerless.
Thank you for anything you’re able to do. Please spread the word.
