Hang On Brian Peterson!
Donation protected
Imagine having not one or two, not three or even four, but eight medical emergencies in less than a year. It would be terrifying! This has been Brian Peterson’s experience, and he needs your help to hang on.
Here’s what has happened just this year:
· In January, his family received devastating news. Brian was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that is not curable. It damages a person's nerves, causing muscle weakness, paralysis, and sometimes, death. Some people recover, but Brian has not.
· He was diagnosed with one stroke.
· And then a second stroke.
· He became legally blind.
· In August, Brian had a major heart attack, and his family was scared to death.
· He had emergency open-heart surgery, which was quadruple bypass surgery, and his family was even more scared because of possible serious complications caused by the Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
· While recovering from open-heart surgery, he had another heart attack.
· Then he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, with an unknown prognosis.
Can you imagine dealing with all of this?
What Brian has endured this year has shaken him and his family to the core. It’s turned their lives upside down, changing them forever. Now, on top of dealing with all the medical complexities, he’s so worried about his family’s financial future that he’s really struggling. He’s struggling to stay positive, struggling to have hope, struggling to hang on! It’s been said that when you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on, but he needs your help to do that. Can you help Brian hang on? Your financial help could be his lifeline.

Brian is a great guy, just like your brother, father, son, or favorite uncle. He loves football and math, and especially his family. Brian is married to one of my very good friends, Celeste Peterson. They live in beautiful Cottonwood, Arizona, and have a wonderful family consisting of three sons, Benjamin, Brig, and Adam, and until her recent passing, the sweetest yellow Lab named Daisy. Brian misses her unconditional love, emotional support, and companionship every day.

As most men would, Brian is finding it hard to accept that he is now just a shadow of his former self. Once a mentally sharp and capable man who juggled many responsibilities at once, he now has cognitive difficulties. He’s lost his independence and the ability to provide for his family. You can understand how all of this has left him uneasy and discouraged.
His wife and sons have watched him suffer and deteriorate physically and mentally, and it’s been very difficult. Not only do they have to worry about Brian’s uncertain health, but he was the breadwinner for their family, and that role has been snatched from his life. Their savings are depleted, there are no other funds, and they have no family to turn to for help. They have mounting stress regarding finances and don’t know what the future holds. They need help, your help, to hang on financially.
Celeste, Brian’s steadfast wife, has had to deal with very challenging conditions in the past. Her oldest son was born with the most severe form of Spina Bifida and is a T-10 paraplegic who uses a wheelchair. She was a single parent to him for 11 years following her divorce. This was very difficult because Adam has had 39 surgeries in his lifetime, with his first life-saving surgery when he was just 12 hours old.
She’s always been strong, but Celeste is shattered by the circumstances of this year. The medical conditions both she and Brian now deal with, and the heartbreak and sorrow she feels at the loss of so much, have overwhelmed her. She and their sons have been devastated by their dad’s lengthy weeks in the hospital, his time in the ICU, and on a ventilator, and the chain of emergencies they’ve helped him through this year. You can just feel it...there’s been too much pain, sadness, and uncertainty in one short year for everyone.
Brian’s been a fighter through every challenge this year and is determined to keep doing the best he can. In everything he’s faced, his family has been his focus. He’s struggling because he knows his family needs help to hang on with, or perhaps, without him. Take a moment and imagine how great it would feel to help them find the security they need in this time of great uncertainty about their present and future circumstances.
The donations raised will help pay for the family’s housing and vehicle costs. They will also be used to help them with many expenses that continue to accumulate. All contributions will be given to Brian and his family. Every donation you give will make a difference.
Thank you for reading Brian’s story. Thank you for wanting to help. Please share his story with everyone you know in any way you can. The more people who hear about it, the more quickly we can reach our goal to help this wonderful family.
You can help Brian. You can help him regain a positive outlook, which he desperately needs to keep fighting. You can help him have hope for a better tomorrow. Will you please help Brian hang on!
